Dr. Lawler’s Equipment Examples
Regarding his up-to-date equipment, he is one of the few dentists in the state to have an x-ray imaging system that is three dimensional, not just two dimensional like traditional x-rays taken in most dental offices. This imaging system is especially helpful in planning dental implants. It is also helpful with root canal therapy and bone regeneration therapy in areas of the jaw affected by periodontal disease.
Other specialized equipment includes the piezotome; a device that cuts hard tissue like teeth and bone, but not soft tissue like gum, arteries, and nerves. You are able to away the shell of a raw egg without breaking the membrane of the egg. Takes some practice!
